As a lover of movies and films, I am a person who can appreciate the thrill and excitement during awards season. On January 17th, the 21st Critic's Choice Awards were presented in California and I, yet again, marvelled at seeing all of my favorite actors and actresses in one setting.
I was so happy to see my favorite person in the world — Amy Schumer — win Best Actress in a Comedy for her movie Trainwreck and the MVP Award! Her speeches for both awards were hilarious, as could only be expected of her, and her white Calvin Klein dress fit her so well! Plus, seeing her with her cute new boyfriend was just the cherry on top of the sundae!
My favorite actress — Alicia Vikander — won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Danish Girl, which was one of favorite films in 2015. I’ve loved her in Testament of Youth, Anna Karenina, The Man from U.N.C.L.E, and Ex-Machina and I loved her even more after her performance as Gerda Wegener. I’m looking forward to the Oscars and seeing if she’ll win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Cutest part was seeing the cute and adorable Jacob Tremblay win Best Young Performer for Room. I haven’t seen the movie yet but seeing his acceptance speech put a smile on my face. He’s pretty loquacious and witty for his age.
